Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Lauren Dunn has opened up about her past experience with melanoma.
The former TV bride recently told her Instagram followers she had a melanoma removed from her head when she was 10 years old.
“I was fully conscious during the operation,” she wrote alongside a photo of her scalp. “Very scary for a little child”.
The Cancer Council describes melanoma as a type of cancer that develops in the skin cells, usually in areas overexposed to the sun. It’s the third most common type of cancer diagnosed in Australia.
