Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Alyssa Barmonde has shocked fans by revealing we’ve ALL been pronouncing her name wrong this whole time.
Like us, many MAFS fans thought Alyssa‘s surname was pronounced “Bar-mond”.
However, people were shocked when the former bride pronounced her full name in a recent Instagram reel.
“Definitely just heard you introduce yourself as Alyssa Barramundi,” one person said.
This prompted the mother-of-one to share a Story with the correct pronunciation of her surname.
“My surname is Bar-mon-dee,” she confirmed. Mind = blown!
Later that day, the reality star shared a screenshot asking her family members to send the correct pronunciation of “Barmonde”.
“Bar-mun-D”, one person wrote. Another added: “Bar-mun-dee”.
“In other news: the barramundi gate is open,” Alyssa wrote over her Story. And we guess that settles it!
