Farmer Wants a Wife Australia 2024 producers have been accused of ignoring cast members’ complaints of “mistreatment” during filming.

From cheating scandals to unexpected walkouts, the once-wholesome dating show really dialled up the drama this season.

As revealed in episode 386 of the So Dramatic! podcast, many cast members emailed the show’s production company to raise concerns about the “bullying” and “emotional abuse” that occured during filming.

However, these complaints were allegedly ignored.

“Several ladies sent production written complaints about how they were mistreated during filming. They didn’t respond to anyone,” one source told So Dramatic!.

“Complaints ranged from concerns about emotional abuse and manipulation from producers, and production ignoring mental health concerns of contestants, to instances of bullying that occurred during filming from production and among the cast,” they alleged.

The insider also claimed that the cast was made to film in “inhumane conditions” for “unreasonable hours”.

They also took aim at the show’s editors for “inaccurate portrayals” that resulted in many contestants being “trolled online”.

Another cast mate told So Dramatic! they were forced to keep filming after a mental breakdown, with producers reminding them of “their contract and filming obligations.” Yikes.

Farmer Wants a Wife cast reprimanded for speaking out about mistreatment on social media

After their complaints were ignored, several cast members took to social media to speak out about the “bullying and harassment” they experienced during filming.

However, according to our source, production quickly reprimanded them.

“Production emailed the cast and threatened them for speaking out, saying they were breaching their contracts,” the insider explained.

So Dramatic! has obtained the email in question, which reads: “The producers and Channel 7 have raised serious concerns that several ladies have breached their contracts.

“If you’ve commented on a fan site, group chat, or any platform, I urge you to delete it this morning and not engage in group discussions.

“It’s a breach of contract to talk about anything not seen (aired) on screen during and after the broadcast of the series.”

Farmer Wants a Wife contestants say producers ‘BREACHED’ their ‘no bullying’ policy

One of our sources clapped back at the email, telling So Dramatic! that “[the producers] have also breached their contract, as there’s meant to be a no-bullying policy.”

“They have punished some people who have spoken out by cutting them out of the show and giving them as little airtime as possible,” they added.
