Farmer Wants a Wife Australia 2024‘s Farmer Joe has weighed in on the “secret boyfriend” scandal that hit Farmer Dean and his suitor Teegan.
Farmer Dean’s world was rocked during the April 21 episode when he received an anonymous text alleging that Teegan was “in love with someone at home”.
“She might be leading you on,” the text read. Yikes!
While the allegations — which Teegan vehemently denied — made for dramatic viewing, it only seemed to bring Dean and his frontrunner closer.
Dean’s fellow farmer Joe has since shed more light on the situation, addressing the “curveball” in a chat with Yahoo! Lifestyle.
“I felt a lot for Deano after that, because I know that Dean was really into Teegan at the time too.
“And it was just a curveball that came out of nowhere. He was definitely fighting with it, I could tell.”

The Farmer Wants a Wife lead added that Dean is a “great guy” who hasn’t faced this sort of drama before.
“He’s never been in an environment like this, none of us had, but I think it really got to him, and we were just trying to be as supportive as we could for him,” Joe explained. “And it was just a single message from what looked like a fake account on Instagram.
“People in this world aren’t happy sometimes and they want to make someone else unhappy, so I wouldn’t read too much into it, I would just go with my gut and that was my advice.”
Skirting around questions about Dean ditching the show early with one lucky lady, Joe said “Deano just wants to find love”.
“He was honest about that from the start. And that’s big Deano, he’s a big softie. Deano’s in it for love.”
