Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Jack Dunkley has confirmed what the ‘wind’ emoji means after mass confusion and theories began circulating.
During the March 20 dinner party, Ridge Barredo told the group that Jack had sent him the ‘wind’ emoji after he’d allegedly been intimate with Tori Adams.

Fans immediately took to Twitter trying to debunk what the groom meant by the cryptic emoji, coming up with creative explanations from BJs to farts.
What did MAFS‘ Jack Dunkley mean when he sent the wind emoji?
Speaking to 9Entertainment, Jack kinda explained what he meant by the emoji, but TBH, we’re still confused.
“[Ridge and I] message each other quite a bit, we send emojis, we have a joke all the time,” he said.
“The wind emoji for me was kind of like smoke, like ‘damn that was hot’, like ‘pop off’, a bit of smoke, you know?” And nah, Jack, we don’t know.
The groom then revealed that he considered sending Ridge a different emoji.
“[It symbolised] a bit of relief, a bit of smoke. I didn’t know if I was going to send him a flame.”
Now, Ridge also spoke to 9Entertainment, admitting that he’s still not sure what Jack meant when he sent the wind emoji.
“I remember he sent it to me. He was blowing something, and I was like, ‘I don’t know what that means’,” Ridge said.
“I was very confused. I never understood what that was. Maybe it’s like ‘oof’, like, ‘really good’.
“But my generation doesn’t use that. They would have done an eggplant emoji or something like that.” LOL!
Jack Dunkley debunks Lauren Dunns’s claims that the ‘wind’ emoji meant ‘ghost’
During the Dinner Party, Lauren Dunn said she thought the emoji meant “ghost”.
“I feel like it was a smoke bomb emoji like I’m out of here,” she laughed.
Whilst speaking to 9Entertainment, Jack said: “Lauren, there’s actually a ghost emoji if I wanted to send a ghost, so come on.”
Case closed, we guess?!
