Married at First Sight Australia 2024 intruder Madeleine Jevic is a psychic medium, but what does that actually mean?
In the February 19 episode of the marriage experiment, MAFS fans were introduced to the 30-year-old Victorian, who is an actor by trade.
However, after a life-altering ayahuasca (a plant-based psychedelic) experience, Madeleine became aware of her ability to connect to the spiritual world and radically shifted career paths.

Discussing her gift on MAFS, Madeleine said her psychic abilities came on “really strong” after the death of her grandfather and she started having “visions”.
“Then I started to audibly hear {things],” the intruder bride told the camera. “Like I’ll get downloads from my [spirit] guides. They’re telling me information that is helpful for me to know.”
She also explained that being a psychic medium allows her to “pick up vibes on people”.
But what does that entail, exactly?
What does a psychic medium do?
According to Tiny Rituals, a psychic medium is someone “who has extrasensory capabilities and can tap into things unseen or unknown by our usual sense of perception”.
This is, at times, also referred to as the “sixth sense”.
People with these abilities can perceive, interpret and communicate messages that come through paranormal channels.
“Some mediums are also able to speak or receive messages from souls on the other side and can interact with otherworldly, ethereal spirits,” the outlet explains.
“They can do this if they have vibrations that are high enough to connect to that other side.”
Some people are born with psychic gifts and can be “attuned” to the spirit world without effort. Meanwhile, others — like Madeleine — have talents that are nurtured over time.
