Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Jack Dunkley has revealed what he really told his ex before he disappeared to film the show.
ICYMI: The first dinner party of MAFS‘ 11th season was mayhem from the get-go after the cast was rattled with allegations that Jack dumped his ex-girlfriend, Courtney, to appear on the show.
She also claimed he told her he was moving overseas for work and she was “blindsided” to see him in the news as a new MAFS groom.
What has Jack Dunkley said about dumping his girlfriend to appear on MAFS?
Appearing on Today Extra with his TV wife, Tori Adams, on February 6, Jack admitted that, yes, he did tell his former flame he was leaving the country.
“When I originally did the break-up, I kind of softened the blow,” he said. “I said I had some work to do in Sydney. [Courtney] turned around and said, ‘I’m going to move to Sydney. What’s your boss’ number? I’m going to call him and let him know I’m coming’.”
Which lowkey doesn’t add up either, because why would she call his boss? Anyway, we digress…
Jack added: “It was a bit of a soft blow, but I had my hands tied a little bit. So, I regrettably said I’m actually going overseas for a few months. So, the door is shut.”
The Gold Coast-based personal trainer’s latest cover-up confession comes after he addressed his ex going “rogue”.

In a chat with Daily Mail Australia ahead of his dirty laundry being aired, Jack said Courtney’s allegations didn’t come as a “surprise”.
“I had a feeling that my ex was going to go rogue at some point and probably sell something to the media,” he admitted.
Adding that he told Tori about Courtney and their past before it circulated among the cast, Jack maintained he’s “not an F boy”.
“I told the cameras that’s not who I am and my story. My real story is actually the fact that I am misunderstood, and that’s why I thought I struggled to find love because everyone does look at me and think I’m not ready to settle down because I do have this look about me and the way I hold myself,” he told the outlet.
Daily Mail Australia also alleged that Jack has since contacted Courtney for not being transparent with her amid their breakup.
