Former MasterChef Australia judge Melissa Leong has unveiled an epic new gig on Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC) Fight Week.
Melissa, who recently hosted the MasterChef spin-off, Dessert Masters, took to Instagram to announce her new career move on January 17.
“Careful what you wish for… Started watching UFC during the pandemic, just hosted Fight Week for UFC297,” she penned.

“I feel very fortunate to have been met with such kindness in this incredible space.”
She will appear on a panel comprised of herself and established UFC fighters Tyson Pedro and Dan Hooker.
The team will offer commentary on UFC 297, an event featuring middleweight champions Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis, whom the trio will also interview.

MasterChef‘s Melissa Leong previously shared her love for UFC
Melissa’s awesome new TV stint comes after she shared her love of the sport in an interview with ABC in November.
“I’m obsessed with the UFC. There, I said it,” she told the publication. “What I love is [that] it is incredible sportsmanship.”
Like MasterChef, the 42-year-old said she enjoyed the strategy and skill of UFC.
“It’s just like MasterChef. Everybody’s competing against one another and you don’t know what the other person’s going to bring out, so you need to bring your best, but also interpret on the fly,” she said.
UFC’s Fight Week is now streaming on Kayo Sports and Foxtel.
