My Mum Your Dad Australia 2023‘s Janine Francis has revealed which parents are still together IRL months after the finale was filmed.
During the November 20 episode, four remaining couples underwent a ceremony in which their children decided whether they gave their blessing for the relationship to move forward into the real world.
ICYMI: every duo — Masi Kingdon and Nadia Taher, Dani Lyons and Wes Milson, Bec Fisher and Ben Smith, and Simmo Mclean and Janine — got the tick of approval from their kiddos.
While the parents had their ups and downs in the experiment, turns out the challenges began once they weren’t under the strict supervision of their offspring.
Janine has since spilled the tea about her romance with Simmo, whether they’re still together and where the other couples stand today.

Following their hookup on My Mum Your Dad 2023, Janine revealed she and Simmo had a whirlwind six-day romance once the show wrapped, after which they called time on their relationship.
“He came and stayed for six days. We spent a lot of time together. I showed him all around my local area. We went out to dinner and had coffee. We did a lot,” she told an outlet.
“I probably knew on day five, that I wasn’t after a romantic connection with him as such.”
Despite not pursuing a relationship, Janine confessed the pair are “good friends”.
“We still communicate regularly. We don’t obviously see each other we’re nine hours apart,” she added. “So it’s not going to be a romantic connection post-show, but we’ll always remain friends, talking just via texting, basically.”
Janine has since started dating a new fella after meeting him in August, and her daughter, Tiarn, has already given him the thumbs up!
Dani Lyons and Wes Milson
It would be an understatement to say that Dani had a rocky start in the MMYD experiment.
However, that all changed when hunky but shy Wes arrived at the house.
If there was one couple to root for, it was this one, and according to Janine (*spoiler alert*), Dani and Wes are the only duo still together to date!
“Everyone else has gone on a different path,” Janine said.

As such, this means Masi and Nadia, as well as Bec and Ben, failed to go the distance once filming wrapped.
Chatting to 9Entertainment, Bec confirmed she and Ben are no longer together.
“At the end of the day, logistically it is almost impossible,” she said.
And given they already had concerns about a long-distance relationship with Ben being a pilot, we almost saw this coming!
“We didn’t want to get to a stage where we resented the situation because we couldn’t spend the time together or were taking the time away from our loved ones,” said Bec.
“We kind of went, ‘You know what, we are really good friends and this was such a wonderful time in our lives, let’s leave it as this’.”
With Bec in Queensland and Ben in NSW, she said they caught a couple of times. However, a month into their romance, they realised it was going to be “really hard to take it to the next level”.

Masi and Nadia’s main relationship concern on the show was that the couple have large religious and cultural differences.
Mainly, Nadia was concerned her family wouldn’t accept her new beau because he wasn’t Muslim.
“We’re still working [our relationship] out and I don’t think it will be that hard because he’s only an hour away from me,” Nadia told 9Entertainment following the Blessing Ceremony.
“He’s willing to put in that work.”
However, they’ve since ended their relationship, but Nadia says they’re still in touch.
“We are communicating, we have been talking, we haven’t ruled anything out – put it that way,” she told the outlet.
According to Nadia, the couple gave it a red-hot go for a few weeks post-retreat before the reality of life set in.
“This has nothing to do with family or religion or background, nothing at all,” Nadia clarified.
“This is just two normal people who formed a relationship in a bubble, and when you come out into the real world, it’s different.”
She continued: “When you’re in the Retreat, you expect the relationship to continue at that level, that speed.
“But when you get into the real world, work gets in the way, family commitments… You try to make it work but you can’t commit to each other as much as you did.
“There’s still a lot of love between us,” she concluded.
