The Block 2023 fans have pointed out a missing detail in the backyard room reveals and we can see where they’re coming from!

On October 22, one fan took to the The Block Australia – 2023 Fans Facebook group to ask why there were no clotheslines in the backyards.

“Silly question: but does no one hang washing anymore?” they wrote. “I don’t see one clothesline”.

Netizens flocked to the comments section in solidarity, defending the humble clothesline.

“Jeez. Anyone would think it was a sin to look at a clothesline, the most functional, necessary item in a backyard” one group member joked.

Another shared that clotheslines were “banned in many areas”. And we never realised the iconic Hills Hoist was so divisive!

A third user said they hadn’t used a clothesline in over 30 years, claiming that the drying rack usually does the trick.

Meanwhile, someone else claimed that in newer houses in Melbourne, the clothesline is usually located “to the side of the house, near the laundry door”. And the more you know!

“I was thinking the same thing, along with the garden shed to put all the garden crap. Guess they will just call the gardeners in and send the laundry to the dry cleaners,” another added. LOL!

And all of a sudden, we have a lot more respect for our trusty clotheslines! RIP!
