The Voice Australia 2023 winner has been crowned, with Tarryn Stokes taking out the top prize on Team Rita Ora.
The 40-year-old mum-of-two pocketed $100,000 and a much-sought-after recording contract with Universal Music Australia.
Tarryn, a Melbourne local, beat out fellow finalists Ezra Williams, Charlie Pittman and Ethan Beckton in the October 8 Grand Finale.
“I feel like The Voice has actually changed my life,” she confessed when the winning verdict was announced.
“It feels amazing, going from The Blinds to being in the Grand Finale and somehow believing that I can do this, it’s just thanks to Rita for believing in me.”
Back-to-back winning coach Rita replied: “Are you kidding me? You did this. You did this!
“It’s just incredible, you’re incredible. Please answer my phone calls once in a while and just remember this is just the start. I’m so happy for you, well done Australia. Thank you so much.”
Rita had previously explained how much Tarryn had “sacrificed” to appear on The Voice.
“She’s is undoubtedly one of the best singers I’ve seen on a show like this.”
Meanwhile, Tarryn expressed: “I want people to know that they can still pursue their dreams as parents.
“I really want to win.”
Tayyn Stokes’ final The Voice Australia 2023 performances
Each The Voice Australia 2023 finalist performed a solo song and duet with their superstar coach ahead of the winner being announced.
Tarryn first joined Rita on stage to perform a rendition of Tina Turner‘s Simply The Best before her solo.
Her mind-blowing performance of Celine Dion‘s All By Myself left the coaches gobsmacked, with Guy Sebastian labelling Tarryn’s voice “just perfection”.
Following her win, she sang her new original single Nobody while her husband Paul and kids Archie, 4 and Quinn, 2, watched from the sidelines.
