Whilst we thought just ONE Love Island spin-off was in the works, it turns out we’ll be copping TWO: Love Island All Stars and Love Island Games!

Rumours have been circulating that there’d be a Love Island spin-off featuring our fave Islanders from the UK, USA and Australia, who’d be returning to find love and play a series of games.

These suspicions were somewhat confirmed on August 25, when iconic host Maya Jama took over the Peacock Instagram account to announce that Love Island Games would be coming to our screens on November 1.

So naturally, we assumed that this would be the only spin-off.

However, we were wrong, because on September 5, ITV took to Instagram to confirm that the “rumours are true” and that Love Island All Stars would also be “coming soon”. Woohoo!

But what’s the difference between these two shows?

What do we know about Love Island Games?

Love Island Games will be filmed in Fiji and according to Grazia UK, it will bring together former Islanders from across franchises for a “second shot at love” as well as some good ol’ competition.

The contestants will couple up and battle it out in a series of games to compete for the title of Global Champions.

Producers are also considering bringing in some “unknown ordinary folk” to shake things up.

“Bosses want to make sure they’re out of the ratings slump when winter rolls around for [Love Island Games],” one source told The Sun. “They’re working out ways to make the format have a lasting impact on viewers.”

And to make things even better, the show will be airing six nights a week, which is just what the doctor ordered!

What do we know about Love Island All Stars?

In a statement, producers spilled that in Love Island All Stars, “familiar faces from the show will venture back into TV’s most talked about Villa for a second chance at finding love”.

The UK-based series will be filmed in South Africa and it’ll debut in the New Year. So it looks like we’ll be rotting on the couch this summer and we can’t wait!

Who will return to the Love Island spin-offs?

According to Heat World, fan favourites Liberty Poole, Kem Cetinay and Megan Barton-Hanson are rumoured to feature in at least one of the spin-offs. And we hope this tea is true!

Meanwhile, Georgia Steel, Toby Aromolaran and Adam Collard are also rumoured to re-enter the infamous dating show.
