Ten has announced that BBC’s hit dating show I Kissed a Boy will be coming to Australia and we’ve never been more excited!

Hosted by pop queen Dannii Minogue, the reality show follows ten single men on their quest to find true love.

These men are all paired up with compatible partners from the get-go.

However, there’s a twist: they must share a kiss as soon as they meet each other to see whether they feel a romantic spark.

Throughout the season, the singles can recouple, flirt and build relationships in a lavish Italian villa.

At the end of each episode, the couples will stand back-to-back and will be asked to turn and kiss their partner if they’re still interested in them. But if one single fails to turn around, the other partner gets eliminated.

Unlike other dating shows, where it seems the cast is more interested in finding blue ticks than love, I Kissed a Boy focuses on building deep, intimate connections that may even turn into lifelong relationships.

The steamy dating show also aims to start important conversations surrounding the many challenges faced by queer males.

Dannii Minogue hopes I Kissed a Boy paves the way for diverse dating shows

According to QNews, Dannii said it was “an honour to host this show and flex [her] muscles as fairy godmother/cupid in helping these gorgeous humans in their search for love”.

She also hopes the show “kicks the door open” for diversity on dating shows. And her wish was granted, because BBC has confirmed a lesbian version of the series is on its way!
