Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Janelle Han recently unveiled a brand new look, and it turns out there’s a very good reason for her dramatic transformation.
The 29-year-old absolutely slayed the fashion game during her time in the marriage experiment, so it’s no surprise she has jaws dropping once again.
On September 1, Janelle shared a video with her Instagram followers that showed her switching out her blonde locks for a fiery red ‘do.
“Bye bye blonde,” she captioned the video, in which she lipsynced to Doja Cat‘s Pain The Town Red while at a hair salon.
Chatting to Yahoo! Lifestyle about her decision to change up her appearance, Janelle said it was time for a revamp after sporting blonde hair for several years.
“I’ve been blonde for so long!” she said. “I’m going to New York for work and wanted to celebrate it with a new look.
“It feels like the start of a new chapter.”
The beauty influencer added that so far, the reaction to her new colour has been overwhelmingly positive.
“People are definitely liking the red more than the blonde,” Janelle explained. “[My hair] has always been blonde or brunette. One time I was blue/grey but that was a disaster and my hair started falling out.
“Black is probably the next colour after red. I want to go back to my roots.”
Janelle’s latest look comes after she confirmed she has a new bae, after breadcrumbing us with pics during a trip to Melbourne.
