The cast for the canned first season of The Real Housewives of Brisbane has been leaked and we just gotta say, this sh*t would’ve gone off.

The latest tea is that The Real Housewives of Sydney is returning for a long-awaited second season. But did you know that a Brissy-based version of the franchise was supposed to kick off first?

Queensland entrepreneur and CEO Fleur Madden was reportedly asked to be on the show and told The Sunday Mail that five or six gals were approached to appear in the series.

She soon took to the ‘gram to clarify details, dishing that The Real Housewives of Brisbane was the city’s “worst kept secret”.

“It WAS [coming]… till it wasn’t and they decided to film in Sydney again,” she wrote. “I was delighted to have been put forward for the show to showcase what a strong working mum/ business woman looks like on TV and change up the stereotype of a ‘housewife’.

“Hopefully it swings back Brisbane’s way one day because we have so much to offer don’t you think?”

Who else was tapped for The Real Housewives of Brisbane?

As revealed in episode 303 of the So Dramatic! podcast, cosmetic injector Dr Ingrid Tall was also supposed to join the star-studded cast.

“She’s lesbian and specialises in non-surgical penis enlargements. Would’ve been a hoot to watch,” one source told So Dramatic!. LOL!

The insider also dished that a majority of the cast moved out of their houses to do “major Reno’s before filming kicked off,” and it looks like it was all for nothing!

The Sunday Mail also confirmed that Sonia Stradiotto was recruited for the series.

The business owner is a yuge name in the couture world, with her biz Sonia Stradiotto Couture, having specialised in high-end fashion design for over 33 years.

Also tapped for The Real Housewives of Brisbane was Argentinian former lawyer Jimena Alejandra, who runs a jewellery design business under her own name.

Sarah Hackett, Australia’s most influential woman in property for 2023, was reportedly asked to sign onto the show but declined to do so.

According to Fleur, no contracts were ever signed for the gig. However, the cast was pretty much locked in.

“They were specifically looking for businesswomen and women that had their own success… They were trying to make it different,” she told the publication. “This is why I wanted to be involved in the show.

“I wouldn’t have wanted to be involved in a show that was negative to women in any way.”

What a shame!
