Farmer Wants a Wife Australia 2023‘s Farmer Brad Jones and Clare Hockings have revealed they are expecting their first baby together.
ICYMI: So Dramatic! recently revealed that one lasting couple from the latest season had already started to grow their family.
Now, Brad and Clare have confirmed they’re the duo in question, telling New Idea that they’re “so excited” as Clare enters her second trimester.
In the mag, the couple shared their ultrasound, with Brad dishing they “didn’t think it would happen as quickly as it did”.
Clare, 28, has had a “pretty healthy” pregnancy so far and is feeling “pretty good” aside from some morning sickness early on in the piece.
The bub will be the first grandchild in Clare’s family, with her parents thrilled about the pending addition.
“They are so excited,” she said.
“Brad’s parents just welcomed a new granddaughter the other day, so it’ll be nice for our baby to have a little cousin close in age.”
Clare has been living on Farmer Brad’s farm for several months
Clare moved to Brad’s Cootamundra farm in February, three months before FWAW‘s reunion episode aired.
There, she picked up a gig as a school teacher and moved her four horses and two pups from Tamworth to her new home in NSW.
“She doesn’t really know anyone here, but bringing her horses and dogs has made the move a bit easier. It’s given her something to feel a bit more at home,” Brad told the New Idea at the time.
“We’re on the same page and just happy doing life together.”
He noted that they weren’t in any rush to add a child to the picture just yet, saying: “We’ll start with one and see how we handle that I suppose!”
