Married at First Sight star Carolina Santos is being roasted like a chook on Christmas for the insane amount she’s renting out her apartment for.
As revealed in episode 239 of the So Dramatic! podcast, a spy told host Megan Pustetto, that the 33-year-old reality star has been trying to find someone to rent her one-bedroom Bondi apartment on Facebook over the Christmas period.
It’s totally fair enough, given that Australia’s real estate market is CRAZY at the moment!
The only thing is, the former MAFS bride is asking for an eye-watering $1800 per week for the pad – and naturally, Facebook comments are ripping into her and the exorbitant price she’s charging.
Carolina’s advert posted in the Bondi community group read: “Short-term rent. Available from now till [sic] end of January.
“One-bedroom apartment Bondi Junction next to Westfield. $1800/week over Christmas and New Year.”
Adding, “View to Harbour Bridge from the rooftop.”
While the silly season is a notably difficult time to find accommodation, many group members were left shocked at the exxy asking price per week.
“While you are at it, why not make it a cool $2k a week?” one sniped in the comments, while another added sarcastically, “Cool photo of a mirror”.
While the vast majority of comments were poking fun at the controversial MAFS contestant, some did come to her defence amid the onslaught.
“It’s $260 a night. Not bad at all for a holiday rental in a good location,” one user hit back.
Either way, we think there’s one thing we can all agree on – the rental market has well and truly gone down the sh*tter for us Aussies!
