Love Island Australia 2022’s self-proclaimed “hero”, Ben Gleeson, barely unpacked his bags before being dumped from the villa, but he certainly made an impression on fans.
During the November 23 episode, the personal trainer fell on his own sword and left the villa to save his love interest Stella Hutcheon, but not before a rousing speech about his short-lived time on the show.
Viewers raced to Twitter to share their thoughts on the “cringeworthy” final message, with many claiming that Ben gave them “the ick”.
But it appears he also stole a few hearts during his 15 minutes of fame, as some fans exclaimed that he was “entertaining” and wished he could have stayed longer.

Don’t even get us started on the Instagram fan page that has already sprung up from the ashes of Ben’s snuffed-out dream.
With a total of four followers at the time of writing, the fan account has posted bizarre Willy Wonka memes and screen grabs of Ben’s iconic AF lines.
Our personal favourite #moment is the dramatic dates in their bio, which make it look like Ben has had a more, uhm, permanent exit from the world.
