The Masked Singer Australia 2022 contestant and Olympian Lisa Curry revealed that she was recently diagnosed with an unexpected heart condition.
During the November 23 episode of The Morning Show, the former athlete explained how atrial fibrillation has forced her to make notable changes to her lifestyle.
Atrial fibrillation is a condition that causes the heart to beat irregularly, which can lead to low blood flow and potential blood clots.
It may increase the risk of stroke, heart failure and other heart-related complications, according to the Mayo Clinic.
“I don’t know where I got that from. It’s just appeared,” the 60-year-old said of her heart ailment.
Lisa was prescribed “beta blockers” but it made her feel extremely “tired”. She explained that she also had to be “weaned off alcohol and coffee” because of her high blood pressure.
It comes soon after Lisa released a balloon that contained her late daughter Jaimi’s ashes at the top of Mount Kosciuszko.
Despite Lisa’s new heart ailment, the three-time Olympian climbed Australia’s tallest mountain to commemorate her 33-year-old daughter two years after she died.
