Married at First Sight Australia 2019‘s Jules Robinson has raised awareness for World Mental Health Day just days after her cousin died.

In a touching Instagram post on October 11, the 41-year-old reminded her 790,000 followers of the importance of asking others, “Are you OK?”

“Yesterday was #WorldMentalHealthDay,” Jules wrote. “I’m so saddened to hear that my cousin died of suicide on the weekend.

“I’m sending so much love to my family who are in a world of pain right now.”

The mum of one went on to explain that she and her cousin were “so close” in their formative years.

“The cousin connection banter and fun was always strong,” she said.

However, she noted that “many years ago… things got hard” for her cousin, who was no longer “the same person”.

Married at First Sight‘s Jules Robinson Says Depression “Has No Discrimination”

Jules highlighted that sometimes, we have no way of knowing what people are “struggling” through.

“Depression & mental ill-health has no discrimination on who it hits hard,” the TV bride penned.

“So we can never discriminate anyone for any reason for that they may be struggling, for any reason.”

She concluded: “Reach out and ask #areyouok more conversations means less stigma. RIP Mathew.”
