Tanya Guccione said she’s “grateful” that scenes of her and husband Vito visiting The Block 2022 set were scrapped from the final edit.
Like 20121 winners Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie, who visited the current contestants during Hallway Week, Tanya and Vito also made an appearance on-set.
However, New Idea reported that the scenes were canned because this year’s Blockheads “did not like the fact that” the self-confessed “cheaters” were “giving their two cents about their work”.
Hitting back at the allegations, Tanya has told So Dramatic! that the claims are “laughable”, particularly as “everyone was nice on-site”.
The mum of two revealed that she and her hubby brought the teams a sh*t-ton of food “like good Italianos” and were “never asked to judge rooms”.
“We said we were happy not to be filmed, or mic’d, but as the story goes, they mic’d us up anyway,” she recalled.
“Probably to see what goss they could get while we walked around, but nothing significant was really said.”

Now that it’s been and gone, Tanya said she’s “actually super glad and grateful” their appearance didn’t make the cut.
“We just wanted to show support and not look like we are trying to stay relevant,” she confessed.
The claims emerged after Tanya and The Block 2022 “quitter” Elle Ferguson were spotted together in Melbourne.
“You bet we had a chat,” the 41-year-old penned alongside a photo of the pair at a Chemist Warehouse event.
