Married at First Sight Australia‘s Stacey Hampton has revealed that “life… goes on” after the death of her former partner and the father of her two sons, Shane Smith.
According to reports, emergency services were called to Redwood Park in Adelaide on September 7, after it was revealed a motorcyclist and his male passenger had crashed. While the other person was taken to hospital, 38-year-old Shane died at the scene.
Taking to her Instagram Story on September 13, Stacey revealed she had been inundated with messages of support.
“I’ve been unindated [sic] with messages and support,” she said. “Flowers and the rest. I’ve seen it all, and I appreciate every single one of you.”
The former MAFS bride shares two sons, Kosta, six, and Kruz, four, with Shane and updated her fans on how they are coping following the tragic death.
“Unfortunately, with life, it goes on,” she said. “The boys need to try and live a normal life considering, and I’m trying my hardest to make them smile.”
“It’s waking up everyday [sic] knowing they are hurting, that hurts the most. It doesn’t matter what anyone says; a child who is 7 and 5 [sic] should never lose their father.

“We are doing our best to live normal lives,” she added before saying: “It’s not about me or anyone else; it’s about those innocent children. Always has been and always will be.”
In subsequent posts, she showed her boys enjoying sweet treats.
“Is it hard?” she said. “Absolutely. My heart breaks for them.”
Stacey Hampton Paid Tribute to Shane Smith After His Death
On September 8, Stacey paid tribute to Shane, praising him and dubbing him an “amazing father” to their two sons,
“He is now at peace with his brother, mother and friends,” she told Nine News.
“He was an amazing father [and] he adored his children and his parents. Our hearts are broken, and our lives will never be the same.”
The TV bride continued by saying Shane “had a heart of gold” and “adored his family and friends”.
How did Stacey Hampton and Shane Smith Meet?
Stacey and Shane met when she was just 19 years old through “mutual friends”, Stacey told Who Magazine in 2020.
“I wasn’t aware of his lifestyle,” she said. “But I fell for him so quickly.”
The former MAFS alum dated the Rebels’ Adelaide president until 2017. A month later, he was convicted of bashing two nightclub bouncers.
The news follows the death of Stacey’s brother, who also died in a motorcycle accident when she was just 21.
The reality star appeared in the 2020 season of MAFS and was paired with Michael Goonan.
