Married at First Sight Australia‘s Stacey Hampton has paid tribute to the father of her children, Shane Smith after he tragically died in a motorcycle accident.
According to reports, emergency services were called to Redwood Park in Adelaide just after 3 am September 7, after it was revealed a motorcyclist and his male passenger had crashed.
While the other person was taken to hospital, 38-year-old Shane died at the scene.
Now, Stacey has sung Shane’s praises, dubbing him an “amazing father” to their two sons, Kosta, six, and Kruz, four.
“He is now at peace with his brother, mother and friends,” she told Nine News. “He was an amazing father [and] he adored his children and his parents.
“Our hearts are broken, and our lives will never be the same.”
The TV bride continued by saying Shane “had a heart of gold” and “adored his family and friends”.
When Did Stacey Hampton Meet Shane Smith?
Stacey and Shane met when she was just 19 years old through “mutual friends”, Stacey told Who Magazine in 2020.
“I wasn’t aware of his lifestyle,” she said. “But I fell for him so quickly.”
The former MAFS alum dated the Rebels’ Adelaide president until 2017. A month later, he was convicted of bashing two nightclub bouncers.
The news follows the death of Stacey’s brother, who also died in a motorcycle accident when she was just 21.
The reality star appeared in the 2020 season of MAFS and was paired with Michael Goonan.
