Married at First Sight Australia‘s Connie Crayden has cleared up speculation about the reason for her break-up from boyfriend Daniel Caswell, after citing a “betrayal” in a cryptic Instagram post.

The 29-year-old — who found fame on MAFS when she wed Jonethen Musulin in 2020 — took to Instagram on August 14 to reveal that she and her music producer beau had parted ways.

However, the statement raised several eyebrows regarding the nature of their break-up, with Connie describing her humiliation over being “betrayed by a partner”.

“As you can imagine, I’m extremely heartbroken and experiencing a whirlwind of emotions,” she wrote. “Those who have been betrayed by a partner can understand just how humiliating it is.”

While fans were quick to assume that Daniel cheated on the TV bride, Connie told So Dramatic! that infidelity didn’t play a part in their split.

“In my post it can come across a bit ambiguous,” she admitted. “Daniel was not unfaithful, he would never do that to me.

“But, there are other ways you can let someone down though.”

The Melburnian explained that the relationship began to “get a bit rocky” within its final six months.

Without going into detail, Connie noted that “there was a particular boundary that was repeatedly being crossed” but the pair “ultimately” had different visions for their future.

“Still have nothing but love and admiration for [Daniel] and I will for a long time,” she concluded.

What Did Married at First Sight‘s Connie Crayden Say In Her Original Post?

Connie’s statement regarding her split from Daniel comes over a year after she debuted their relationship in March 2021.

In the announcement posted to her feed, she acknowledged that she’d been “quiet” online in the past month.

“I haven’t posted since being sick which is when my relationship also ended,” Connie told her 123,000 followers.

“There has been alot to grasp and to get my head around. I’m currently adjusting my whole life & have new changes to adapt to. [sic].”

The Married at First Sight participant added that she has “come to see” the amount of “emotional stress” she’s endured over the last 12 months.

“I’m taking time out again,” she deduced. “My only focus right now is therapy, learning to put myself first again and self care.”
