Olivia Newton-John‘s daughter and Dancing with the Stars Australia‘s Chloe Lattanzi has shared a touching tribute to her mother, who died aged 73.

The British-born Australian performer passed away “peacefully” at her home in Southern California on August 9 following a long battle with breast cancer.

Olivia’s husband, John Easterling, broke the news via the beloved Grease star’s social channels.

Describing her as a “symbol of triumphs and hope”, John asked that fans “respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time”.

Void of a caption, Olivia’s only daughter also took to social media to share a series of heartwarming photos in honour of her late mother.

The first image featured DWTS Chloe as a child kissing her mother in black-and-white, followed by snaps of Olivia holding her as a baby and another of the pair when she was in her early teen years.

The singer’s daughter also posted a few recent images of herself and Olivia posing together.

The news comes just days after Chloe, 36, took to Instagram with a photo of the duo in matching white get-ups.

“I worship this woman, My mother. My best friend,” she penned.

In one of her most recent interviews with Studio 10, the Xanadu actress spoke fondly of her daughter, who she famously supported through a long-standing battle with drug addiction, depression and body dysmorphia.

“I’m so happy that she’s happy, and just shining, and has so much power and strength and bravery,” Olivia told 10 News First, when Chloe competed on Dancing with the Stars in 2020.

The Physical singer also made a brief appearance on the series at the time, when she appeared on-set to support her daughter as she performed.

Olivia is remembered by her family and fans for her extraordinary efforts in raising awareness for breast cancer.

“Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer,” her husband, John, wrote.

He also said that instead of flowers being sent to honour the star, “the family asks that any donations be made in her memory to the @onjfoundation [Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund]”.

Olivia’s niece and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2022 contestant Tottie Goldsmith also shared a tribute to her aunt on August 9.

“Thank you Livvy, thank you for your deep heart, your playfulness, your constant encouragement and positivity,” she penned. “You were more than an auntie to us, and you were a gift to this world.

“I will miss you forever 🤍🕊 love and light.”
