My Kitchen Rules 2022‘s Arrnott Olssen and Alice Bottomley share more than just a love of cooking, they can also sing like an absolute DREAM!

In fact, while Alice appeared on X Factor (more on this later) Arrnott’s first brush with reality TV fame was in 2004, after he competed in Popstars Live.

In case you have no recollection of this, Popstars was a short-lived (but totally iconic) Australian singing competition series, best known for launching the career of Beauty and the Geek host Sophie Monk as a part of the girl group Bardot.

The Fijian home cook was a finalist on Popstars Live in 2004, a spin-off series that was judged by Molly Meldrum, Christine Anu and Shauna Jensen — and saw singer Kayne Taylor win the one and only season.

Now, Arrnott is competing with his bestie Fuzz Ali in the new series of My Kitchen Rules, judged by celebrity chef juggernauts Manu FeildelNigella Lawson and Matt Preston.

Alice Bottomley’s Competed on X Factor Australia

Of course, Arrnott isn’t the only My Kitchen Rules hopeful with this talent.

Alice – competing alongside her father Peter Bottomley on MKR – first appeared on Aussies TV screens in 2014, competing on The X Factor Australia.

She reached the Top 24 but didn’t make it into the live competition — which is surprising because her voice is goosebump-inducing!

You can watch her sing One Night Only from Dreamgirls in front of judges Ronan Keating, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Dannii Minogue and Redfoo below.

While she didn’t see much success in the reality singing competition, viewers were quick to fall in love with her and Peter on My Kitchen Rules, thanks to the Victorian duo’s heartwarming laugh and quirky personalities.

She’s certainly one to watch and here’s hoping she continues to sing, sing, sing!
