British adventure show The Bridge is coming to Australia and now, a contestant has spilled on what it was like to film the series.

The show will see 12 Aussies dumped in the Tasmanian wilderness and forced to build a 300-metre-long bridge out of raw materials in just 20 days — all to be in the running to win $250k.

As reported in episode 206 of the So Dramatic! podcast, an insider has revealed that filming conditions were “absolutely f*cked”!

“It was way harder than I thought it would be,” the source dished to So Dramatic!. “Production was talking half the cast off a ledge only a few days in.”

According to the So Dramatic! spy, lots of people were threatening to quit, and it was all due to the “horrific health and safety protocols”.

“It’s kind of amazing that nobody was seriously injured, although we were all injured to some degree by the end!” they said.

“But I doubt that’ll make it into the final edit.”

Producers Found Contestants from the Casting Pools of Other Reality Shows

The source also revealed that producers plucked contestants from the casting pools of several other reality TV shows and that only one person had applied for the show itself.

“The cast consists of a number of known social media influencers — including one former Australia’s Next Top Model contestant — [plus] a decent number of ‘influencers’.”

“Not many people were actually capable of building a bridge.” LOL. No surprises here!

“We were all brought over from Married at First Sight, Survivor, and Big Brother casting pools.”

It sounds like a recipe for disaster — so obviously, save us a front-row seat!

What Else Do We Know About The Bridge Australia?

The Bridge was filmed in Tasmania back in March and is set to stream on Paramount+ in the coming weeks.

“Contestants have just started getting briefed by Endemol [Shine] and Paramount+ publicity teams, so I think once Hunted is over, they will start the promo for this,” another insider revealed.

“So, we should start to see more of it in the next week or two.”

While the premise feels too hard for us, as the show progresses, contestants are voted out, while “curveballs” are thrown.

At the end, one person will walk across the bridge and decide whether they steal or share the $250k prize money!
