Married at First Sight Australia‘s Telv Williams has been called out for making fatphobic comments about singer-songwriter Lizzo.

Telv — who was coupled up with Sarah Roza in the marriage experiment in 2018 — has been known to share some controversial views in the past.

Now, the 37-year-old has been held to account after leaving a gross comment underneath a recent news article about the musician.

“She reckons monogamy ‘is a little claustrophobic’,” a LADBible Facebook post read, alongside an image of Lizzo.

“Anyone would feel claustrophobic laying next to Lizzo in bed 😂. [sic],” Telv penned. *Rolls eyes*

It wasn’t long before one fan called out the MAFS groom in So Dramatic!‘s Communi-TEA Facebook group.

“Can’t we have one weekend where ex-reality stars aren’t being bigoted?” they wrote. “Now it’s Telv’s fatphobic comments about Lizzo. Getting sick of it.”

Following up, another user said that the father of three has “shown his problematic misogyny for a while now”.

Someone else penned: “Telv darl, if you’re intimidated by a woman who is more famous and successful than you’ll ever be then just say so x. [sic].”

Fans Reveal “Hypocritical” Posts Made By Married at First Sight‘s Telv Williams

Taking to the comment section, another Married at First Sight viewer said Telv was “checking off all the offensive boxes” after his Lizzo comment reportedly followed an insensitive meme about “hitting women”.

“[It] was about this time last year he posted a meme about hitting women,” they wrote. “He also posted on Britney Spear’s Instagram teasing her about her mental health. [sic].

“He really checking off all the offensive boxes, one by one. [sic].”

The user then recalled that he “made a comment about how her children ‘must be so proud to have her as a mother'” alongside “laughing emojis”.

They continued: “He deleted it after a few of us on IG pointed [out] how hypocritical it is to comment something like that when a few days prior he posted about R U OK day. [sic].”
