Beauty and the Geek Australia 2022’s Tara Schwarz is a real-lyfe mermaid, sorta.
The performer works as Mermaid Tarielle and is an underwater model for parties and events.
The 22-year-old is also an entertainer for children’s parties and, umm… so is geek Michael Gebicki! Coincidence? We think, not!
Tara loves bringing magic to people’s lives and is passionate about making a difference.
When she’s not swimming down where it’s wetter and down where it’s better, Tara is studying law.
“I think the beauties are smart, fun, bubbly, positive people,” she told 9Now. “I want to show they can be taken seriously for their intellect and personalities while still caring about their appearance.”
Tara is looking for a decent man and hopes one of the geeks could be the one for her… (ahem, Michael)
What Else do we Know About Tara Schwarz?
According to her official Mermaid Arielle website, Tara has been swimming since “before she could walk”.
As a child, she loved swimming “dolphin style” (lol, who didn’t) and decided she wanted a career in aquatics!
The Melbourne local grew up near the ocean and has been training in the art of movement and performance for over 18 years!
She also has a wealth of experience working with children and childhood development and loves working with children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
TBH, she sounds like an ABSOLUTE dream!
