Beauty and the Geek Australia 2022’s Jason Mihalopoulos is not only a talented musician, but he’s also a shy guy and self-confessed “hermit”.
While the 29-year-old can play multiple instruments, he is also a data analyst by day.
Jason is from Victoria and encountered many lockdowns during the global pandemic. This saw him working from home (like many Aussies), and this, coupled with being an introvert, he finds it hard to socialise in big groups.
According to his 9Now bio, Jason is the ultimate geek.
“Everything I do is geeky. I work as a data scientist, I play video games, board games, and role-playing games. I love philosophy, coding, and I’m pretty geeky about my music too,” he told the outlet.
Why Did Jason Mihalopoulos Apply for Beauty and the Geek Australia 2022?
Jason insists that he rarely leaves his apartment so he hopes that Beauty and the Geek will help him break out of his shell.
“I normally take things one step at a time, I just dip my toe in,” he said.
“But this is the exact opposite. It’s nerve-wracking though exciting. This will be a challenge, and I just want to step out of my comfort zone.” Love this!
