Wild claims have surfaced that Big Brother Australia 2022’s Sam Manovski was in a cult!

Last week, we revealed that the Big Brother newbie had a secret boyfie during filming, despite being in a showmance with Anthony “Drew” Drew. However, it seems it was not all that she was hiding!

As reported in episode 202 of the So Dramatic! podcast, a former friend has revealed that Sam was part of a cult before entering the Big Brother house.

“Sam joined a weird cult a couple of years ago (in 2020) and stopped talking to her family because she thought the cult could make her achieve a higher ascension,” the source dished.

“The cult told her to abstain from sex, cut her family off, and all this weird sh*t and eventually whoever was head of the cult got caught out.” Ummm… wut?!

According to Sam’s “friend”, producers were “worried” that it would get out and covered it up, asking her not to speak about it in the house!

“It was a massive red flag for them, but they took the risk it wouldn’t come out and made her wipe all evidence of it from her socials.”

Sam Manovski Revealed the Truth About the Cult

While this is all very interesting, however, when we went to Sam for comment, she revealed the actual truth!

“Yeah I wasn’t in a ‘cult’,” she said. “It’s just the best way I can describe an experience I had with an online Facebook group that got a little culty… if that makes sense?” We mean… It kinda makes sense?

“It was business advice stuff. Nothing exciting.” Hmm…

Sam Manovski’s “Workshops” Have Raised Eyebrows

Another So Dramatic! source dropped some more tea about the 31-year-old, saying that she is into some “woo woo sh*t”.

According to the spy, Sam has posted several things on Instagram about how you can “manifest your depression away”.

“My friend signed up for one of her workshops,” the source dished. “[This was] before she was an intimacy coach, she was doing life coaching.

“She said it was an absolute crock of sh*t. She has no qualifications and just spouts absolute bullsh*t.” OUCH.

In a since-deleted post on her business Instagram account, samantha_wanderinglove, Sam shared a quote from philosopher Lao Tzu.

“If you are depressed, you are living in the past,” it read. “If you are anxious, you are living in the future, if you are at peace, you are living in the present.”

Under the post, Sam said: “F*cking BOOM! It is that simple!

“I’ve sat with anxiety and I have sat in depressive states. Upon reflection, I acknowledge where my head has been at and my reflections align with this quote [sic].”

Later on, she said that when she’s “feeling depressed” she is in “deep illusion”, and said she scrutinises herself for her “poor decisions”.

“I am caught in the web if lies that I keep telling myself…What does your inner dialogue sound like when you’re caught up in your own story? [sic],” she added.

Sam Manovski’s Instagram Post Was Met With Criticism

In the comments section, Instagram followers criticised Sam’s take.

“I’m very interested in why you feel that you are qualified to be sharing this dangerous message on the internet,” one user wrote.

At the same time, another said: “I think you should be careful with posts like this that talk about depression and anxiety because your phrasing could be quite triggering to some people.

“Just not sure it’s the best message to be sending out with an issue that’s incredibly complex.”

Big yikes!

Sam responded to the comments by saying that she believes “anything is possible and chemical imbalances can also be cured”.

“It’s never permanent.”

She then went on to say that “medical intervention, in my opinion, is much like using crutches/a cast when you break a bone. It’s a temporary relief that aids in supporting you.”
