The Bachelor Australia’s Samantha Royce has reaffirmed her breakup from The Bachelorette Australia’s Jarrod Woodgate with a gut-wrenching statement.
The reality contestant, who competed for Matt Agnew‘s heart on TV, hinted at a split from her bae with a savage AF Instagram post on July 3.
Friends of the couple confirmed the split to So Dramatic! on July 4, with Samantha taking to Instagram herself that night to reveal why she and Jarrod parted ways.
According to Samantha, she is “broken” over the breakup.
“Unfortunately Jarrod has decided that he needs to tackle the next chapter of his mental health challenge alone,” she penned. “While this breaks my heart, I have to respect his decision and support him to do what is best for his recovery.”
Adding that the “last 18 months” has been the “most challenging” time in her life, Samantha confessed that she and Jarrod would not have survived without support from their loved ones.
“It is so hard watching someone you love struggle, especially when you bear the brunt of it.”
In May, Jarrod opened up about his mental health battle, confessing he’s been diagnosed with PTSD and anxiety (among other things) following 12 years in the defence force.
In her post, Samantha added that she did “everything in [her] power” to appease her partner, who she began publicly dating in 2020.
“It’s hard not to feel like a failure,” she told her followers. “I put 100 per cent of my energy, kindness and compassion into supporting Jarrod, holding onto hope that the person I fell in love with would come back. Sadly, my all wasn’t enough.”
“I hope that one day, when Jarrod is ready, he finds someone that can truly make him happy.”

Samantha Royce and Jarrod Woodgate Are Still Living Together Despite Breaking Up
In her lengthy statement, Samantha also explained she and Jarrod were attempting to “navigate the transition back to a supportive friendship”.
The couple still appear to be living together in the home they bought last year, with Jarrod posting two new pics sporting Camp Quality merch on July 6 from their shared home’s waterfront balcony.
Samantha also shared them on her Instagram Story to promote the children’s cancer charity.
She then went on to post a photo of her and Jarrod going on a walk together with their two deaf dogs, Chance and Lily (who is also blind).

The Bachelor alum took to the social media platform on July 3 with a brutal (and kinda dark) Instagram caption, which has since been edited.
Posing in matching black outfits with fellow Bachie alum Renee Barrett, she wrote: “RIP to our exes”, while adding three black heart emojis and the hashtag, “#mourning”.
While Samantha has been in a picture-perfect relationship with Jarrod since 2020, Renee has been on-again, off-again with the Bachelor in Paradise’s Ciarann Stott, as well as Matt Whyatt (both of whom have moved on).
To rub salt into the wound, Samantha even tagged their location as “freedom”. Ouch!
She has since removed the location and caption, replacing the savage text with a simple black heart.

Our biggest question is, did Jarrod get the memo?
While Samantha’s Instagram feed shows no trance of her former beau since January this year, Jarrod still has posts of the duo together from early June.
