The Bachelor Australia‘s Sam Wood has revealed that he and his wife, Snezana, have made another dash to hospital with their newborn daughter, Harper.
Taking to his Instagram Story on June 16, the 28 by Sam Wood founder revealed that Harper, who was born prematurely, was sadly back in hospital for the second time this week.
“Back again,” he penned alongside a snap of Snezana cradling their daughter. “Oh you’re a little trooper Harper and fkn super Mum!! [sic].”
On June 17, the dad of four jumped online to thank his followers for “all of the love, care and well wishes”.
“[Harper] has some kind of virus and just can’t keep her food down,” he revealed.
As she remains in hospital, Sam said they are “keeping an eye on her” and making sure she “feeds and breathes well”.
“As much as it sucks, it’s the best place for her.”
Harper Wood Has Spent Many Days In Hospital Since Her Birth
Earlier in the week, Sam told his followers that Harper was accompanied to the Royal Children’s Hospital by his wife as well as their eldest daughter (from Snezana’s previous relationship), Eve. They had deduced that she had picked up an infection from her two older siblings, Willow and Charlie.
“Snez had to take Harper to the hospital last night at 10.30. She got home with Harper at 5.45 this morning,” Sam said, turning the camera around to show his wife snuggled in bed, with their daughter placed carefully next to her.
Sam went on to explain Harper had blood tests taken while at the hospital and he would also be getting tested.
What Happened After Sam and Snezana Wood Announced the Birth of Their Third Child Harper
On May 8, the Bachelor alum confessed that his baby daughter’s birth had not exactly been smooth sailing.
“On Wednesday, May 4th, one month early we welcomed Harper Jones Wood to the world,[sic]” he penned alongside a carousel of photos of Snezana and baby Harper.
“30 minutes after this photo was taken, Snez became sick. Really sick and before we knew it Harper was off to the special care unit and Mum was into ICU.
“Of course, in true Snez Mum fashion, her only thoughts were for her little baby, and it was breaking her heart that she couldn’t hold her. [sic]”
Sam concluded the announcement with nothing but praise for his “strong” and “beautiful” wife.
