It’s no secret that Australia was not happy with the announcement of three straight white males at the helm of The Bachelors Australia 2023 However, we can confirm that our prayers have (sort of) been answered, with one of them reportedly being bisexual.

As reported in episode 189 of the So Dramatic! podcast, a production insider dished to host Megan Pustetto that one of the three men announced was not only bi, but they are also using it as a storyline on the show.

“They just haven’t announced it yet,” the production insider said. “They are saving that bombshell for the show.”

Considering how their announcement that Felix Von Hofe, Thomas Malucelli and Jed McIntosh were going to be the leading men backfired, it probably would have been good to announce earlier on!

The Casting Announcement for The Bachelor 2023 Backed the Theory Up

According to another So Dramatic! source who went through the casting process, she was asked if would care if a “potential love suitor was a bisexual”.

On top of this, back in February, Warner Bros, the production company behind The Bachelor, put a call out for “single women and men between the ages of 23-40″ to apply for the new season.

Candidates were also asked to be available between May to July of 2022 with filming possibly taking up to 12 weeks — the exact time frame for the current filming schedule.

The Casting Process for The Bachelor Candidates Was WILD

Thanks to a sneaky spy who went through the process, we got some serious intel into what happens during the auditions including the fact that they had “laminated photos of male celebrities stuck on rulers”.

The applicants then had to choose which of the men they were most attracted to.

“They then gave us a song that we had to make our routines to and [told us we] had to incorporate our ‘man’ in the routine.” Umm….wut?!

Apparently, the options of celebs were: Zayn Malik, Idris Elba, Machine Gun Kelly, PharrellRyan Reynolds and Channing Tatum.

Now that we know who the Bachelors are, this makes so much more sense!
