Newly leaked photos from the set of MasterChef Australia 2022 have shed light on which beloved home cooks make the final three.

The well-received Fans VS Faves format is still a number of weeks away from airing the finale. However, some well-known faces were pictured on set ahead of filming on Tuesday.

The images, published by the Daily Mail, depict two returning chefs and one newbie as the current season’s top three.

Inaugural MasterChef Australia winner Julie Goodwin, season two fave Alvin Quah and budding cook Daniel Lamble all appear to be in the final stretch of the competition. The winner will take home $250,000 in prize money.

Julie was snapped outside the restaurant where the episode was being filmed, while Alvin was pictured arriving at the venue.

Meanwhile, Daniel was papped ordering food at a nearby cafe.

Given the latest series boasts a number of talented chefs, there’s been hot debate as to who will take out the top prize.

Betting giant Sportsbet previously tipped who will reign victorious, and typically, its suggestions ring true.

However, this time, the predictions don’t line up with the leaked photos…

Sportsbet Predicts Who Will Win MasterChef Australia 2022

In April, Sportsbet had fresh-faced Harry Tomlinson was pegged as the last remaining “fan”, while season seven winner Billie McKay was tipped to be the final “fave” of the season.

Harry had odds of $2.50. Meanwhile, Billie was expected to take out the series win with shorter odds of $1.90.

Should she win, Billie would become the show’s first-ever two-time champion.

In the “fans” kitchen, Daniel followed Harry with odds of $3.

Interesting… Very interesting indeed…
