Big Brother Australia‘s Tully Smyth was stuck between an ex and a hard place when she found herself at the same intimate event as her ex-partner, Michael Staples.
The 34-year-old reality star and Michael previously dated in 2020 at the height of Melbourne’s pandemic lockdown.
Now, Tully is loved-up with her new bae Daniel Parisi while Michael is infatuated with his former Love Island starlet girlfriend, Anna McEvoy.
However, as revealed in episode 174 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Tully, Michael and Anna had an awkward run-in at an event recently!
“Tully at the same event (down the other end of the table) from her ex,” on So Dramatic! spy dished.
The former Big Brother contestant also shared footage of the gathering on her Instagram Story at the time.
If you look close enough, you can even see Michael and Anna in the background!
Oh, to be a fly on the wall of that event!
When Did Michael Staples and Anna McEvoy Start Dating?
Michael and Anna went public with their relationship in September 2021 with a sweet AF Instagram post.
The 29-year-old bombshell shared a photo of the pair kissing with the caption: “You make my heart go “!!””
Michael left a sweet comment underneath the post which read: “Must be the luckiest guy on Earth!”
Before Michael, Anna was rumoured to be dating her Love Island co-star, Matt Zukowski. However, fans soon learned that their frequent hangouts were to generate buzz for their podcast, Where’s Your Head At?.
The starlet even won her series of Love Island in 2019 alongside TV bae (and The Block buff) Josh Packham, but the duo split in November 2020.
Tully Smyth and Daniel Parisi Went Official After Six Months of Dating
In December 2021, Tully announced her relationship with Daniel after six quiet months of dating.
The reality star took to Instagram with a series of loved-up snaps, musing that her new bae was “worth the wait”.
A number of Tully’s friends and fellow reality stars congratulated the happy couple underneath the post.
“So happy for you,” Steph Claire Smith wrote. “You were glowing the other day when we bumped into you.”
Gritty Pretty editor Eleanor Pendleton similarly penned: “Seeing you happy, makes me happy!”
The relationship debut was also the first post from Tully in over two months. She previously announced in October that she was “taking a break from social media to be this happy IRL”. And now it looks like she is!
