Prospective The Bachelor Australia 2023 contestants will be glad to hear they’ll no longer be freezing their tatas off at the cocktail parties because filming will take place on the Gold Coast.

Following nine seasons in New South Wales, production has relocated to the Sunshine State for its 10th season. And yes, we have our fingers crossed that this means daddy Osher Günsberg will be sporting some boardies over ye olde penguin suit.

The news comes as The Bachelor Australia makes a deal with the Queensland Government and Screen Queensland, with Premier Annastacia Palaszszuk spilling the tea on Twitter.

“Attention reality TV fans,” she penned and this is our official bid for Bachie news to be delivered via carrier Premiers.

“Queensland has accepted [The Bachelor Australia] rose to be the next filming destination for season 10.”

The MP also dished that the Gold Coast production “will create around 80 local jobs and contribute an estimated $4.1 million into our economy”.

Here’s hoping that the budget allows for more creative dates, too! We think a group date on Movie World’s Superman Escape is more fitting than the exhausted skydiving date, don’t ya think???

The Gold Coast Is the “Perfect Backdrop” For The Bachelor 2023

Warner Bros. International Television Production’s Managing Director Michael Brooks dished that the company is keen to “showcase budding love” on the GC.

“I can’t think of a more perfect backdrop for our iconic Bachelor franchise,” he said via My Gold Coast. And we can’t think of a more fitting backdrop to see another unhinged contestant drop the C-bomb on national telly!

Michael continued: “Our beautiful new surroundings on the Gold Coast are one of many new creative changes in what will be a very bold, daring and exciting 10th season of The Bachelor Australia.”

What Else Do We Know About The Bachelor 2022?

According to an anonymous tip-off sent to Pedestrian.TV, we may only be getting ONE season from the franchise this year. Yup, that means no individual Bach or Bachette seasons.

“So I’ve heard from good authority that there’s only going to be one season of Bach this year and it’s going to have a male and female lead,” the message to the publication read.

“Meaning there is going to be a mansion of guys and girls co-existing like with Brooke [Blurton]’s season.” WUT?!

The source also revealed that filming will take place on the Gold Coast as they’re “attempting to refresh the series”. Sooooo, maybe the story does check out after all?!

While there’s no word on who will step into the Bachie boots this year, filming is slated to kick off in May for three months.
