Below Deck Down Under may be new to screens across the globe, but it doesn’t mean that its stars are strangers to being in front of the camera, too.
While fans of the yuge Below Deck franchise will be familiar with Aesha Scott from the Mediterranean spin-off, we spotted a familiar face from the deep, dark crevice of our childhood.
Yup, brand new Below Deck Down Under deckhand Benny Crawley used to be a host on ABC’s children’s network, ABC3!
In 2009, the rising reality star won Me on 3, a nationwide search for presenters to head up the newly conceived ABC3.
Across the next two years, Benny would go on to host Studio 3, What Do You Know? and 3 on 3 — all on the hit children’s network.
He has since worked as a host on Foxtel’s Movie Network and has had a long line of gigs presenting for brands such as Apple, NOVA, Kelloggs, James Boags and the Cancer Council.
Below Deck Down Under‘s Benny Crawley Is More Than a Yachty
Benny started his time in the maritime industry working on docks in the South of France, But when he’s not living it up on the high seas Below Deck Down Under‘s newest deckhand has a keen interest in cryptocurrency and trading.
The 35-year-old’s Instagram bio boasts that he works as a “Crypto Trader and Coach”, with his Linkedin also revealing that he previously worked as an “Algo Trader” for the FOREX currency market.
Being a passionate trader, Benny also gives complete courses on crypto through his official website, Mindful Trading.
The multi-talented reality star has also explored his passion for DJ’ing across the globe under the alias DJ Lazy Susan.
From 2012 to 2014, Benny worked alongside Red Bull as the brand’s “Resident DJ”.
