A number of Australian reality TV personalities are banding together to raise money for communities suffering from the devastating floods across Queensland and New South Wales.

Seven Network, Nine and Network Ten will unite on Saturday March 12 to jointly present Australia Unites: Red Cross Flood Appeal. The nationwide special event will also be broadcast across the three networks and their online streaming services.

The Block‘s Scott Cam, The Bachelor franchise’s Osher Günsberg and Bondi Vet‘s Chris Brown are among a star-studded list of names attached to the telethon’s hosting ensemble.

The Aussie TV mainstays, along with a number of other familiar faces, will present a host of Australian music greats who will perform to raise money on the night.

Jimmy Barnes, Delta Goodrem, Vanessa Amorosi, Jon Stevens and Casey Donovan will take to the stage, as well as acts in the likes of Sheppard, Hunters and Collectors and The Living End.

All proceeds from the telethon will be donated to Australian Red Cross, which will then provide humanitarian support to people and communities deeply affected by the floods.

What Does The Red Cross Do?

The Red Cross works alongside St Vincent de Paul Society, The Salvation Army and Lifeline to provide help where it’s needed most.

In this instance, donations will aid the organisation in helping with flood evacuation, operating relief centres and outreach services.

Red Cross will also provide financial assistance to help people and families affected by the floods in Queensland and NSW.

In addition to the telethon, Australian Red Cross has already launched a flood appeal. You can donate now at redcross.org.au/floodsappeal or by calling 1800 733 276.

Australia Unites: Red Cross Flood Appeal will be broadcast live from 7:30pm on Saturday March 12.
