Former Home and Away star Orpheus Pledger is currently facing one of his toughest challenges to date on SAS Australia 2022, however, this isn’t the first time he’s been in the spotlight.
The 28-year-old actor, who is best known for his role as Mason Morgan on Home and Away, was also involved in a drug scandal in 2021.
SAS Australia 2022 Recruit Orpheus Pledger’s Drug Scandal
Orpheus’ troubles with the law began in February 2021 when he was found to be in possession of drugs whilst in Prahan, Melbourne.
He was later charged with possessing Methylamphetamine, also known as ‘ICE’, as well as 30 tablets of Diazepam – better known as Valium, without a prescription.
The troubled actor accepted responsibility for the charges, however, he did not enter a plea as part of the program which allows low-level offenders to be spared of a criminal record.
He was given a six-month good behaviour order by Magistrate Tim Bourke and instructed to complete a drug awareness course. He was also required to pay $150 to the court.
The NSFW Video Orpheus Pledger Posted To Instagram
In a controversial video posted to his Instagram, Orpheus filmed himself getting his groove on in the shower, however, it became NSFW when the former soap star’s hand slipped and momentarily exposed his genitals.
After this incident occurred, a worried source close to Orpheus shared their concern with a publication stating: “Orpheus has been exerting this problematic behaviour for a while, since he relocated back to Melbourne after his character was killed off.”
The source admitted that those closest to him were said to be deeply concerned for his welfare at the time.
Orpheus Pledger’s Acting Career
After acting in Home and Away, Orpheus had a short stint on another drama-filled soap playing Noah Parkin on Neighbours from 2011 to 2012 and also appeared on Channel 7’s All-New Monty: Guys and Gals in 2020 alongside his SAS Australia castmates Wayne Carey and Pauly Fenech.
Since leaving Home And Away in 2019 Orpheus has turned his attention to producing music and DJing.
