The Bachelor Australia alum and all-around reality TV queen Abbie Chatfield has freed the nipple in response to Instagram’s sexist double standards regarding nudity.

The 26-year-old posted a topless snap to the ‘gram, with her nipples obscured by two carefully placed star emojis.

Abbie’s post was a direct shot at Instagram’s sexist community guidelines which states that topless photos of women are prohibited, however, snaps of shirtless men are totally fine. And, um, excuse us?

Abbie captioned the empowering picture with a list of reasons as to why more women should #freethenip.

1.” Swimming with free t*tties is the best feeling in the world

2. No sand in a bikini top

3. Paparazzi can’t sell photos of a ‘wardrobe malfunction’

4. It’s hot

5. It’s freeing

6. You can hear people having conversations about it as you walk past them, we love a conversation starter!

7. Nipples do NOT need to be sexualised.”

“Can IG please allow nipples?,” she vented. “I’m sick of this x.”

Affirming her frustration with Instagram’s blatant double standards. She is only saying what we are all thinking!

“Comment how long u think till this is taken down,” Abbie said in the comments.

Obviously referring to Instagram’s tendency to remove pictures of bare-chested women.

Other Stars Support Abbie Chatfield Freeing the Nipple

The radio show host is regularly vocal regarding feminist issues and was met with a ton of support for her contribution to the ‘free the nipple’ campaign.

Blogger Tully Smith called the Bachelor in Paradise star a “queen” and influencer Pheobe Thompson commented, “yes please”.

Fellow Bachie alum Jacinta Lal piped in, adding “Totally agree! Love this post! Free the nipple Instagram! Stop sexualising women nipples.”

We love seeing these women supporting each other and coming together, rallying Instagram to change its policies!

Of course, the reaction wasn’t all positive.

Some men in the comments totally missed the ENTIRE point and took the opportunity to sexualise Abbie.

“Love the fact you’re talking about not being sexualised but the men in the comments can’t help but do exactly that,” one fan commented. Total eye roll.

At the time of writing Instagram has not removed the post and Abbie is free to go on being an internet icon.
