The Bachelor‘s Britt Hockley has bid beau Jordan Thompson farewell as he leaves for another year of tennis grand slams.
Just hours after So Dramatic! dropped an episode packed with evidence indicating that the pair had split, Britt and her tennis star partner were papped together, confirming to all that they are still very much together. Yay for love!
However, as discussed in episode 144 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Britt said goodbye to Jordan just days after, in a clip posted to her Instagram story.
“Goodbyes are never easy,” she captioned the video, shared from the airport. “Go get ’em Slowy. Have the best year yet.”
Best YEAR yet? That sounds like an awfully long time not to see your partner!
Given Britt has recently got herself a radio gig alongside her Life Uncut podcast co-host Laura Byrne, it’s fair to assume that she’s unable to travel across the globe as part of Jordan’s team as she did in 2021.
But still, “goodbye” seems so… finite?
Why Did Fans Think Britt Hockley And Jordan Thompson Break Up?
As discussed in episode 140 of the So Dramatic! podcast, a source in the “small” Australian tennis community revealed that Britt and Jordan DID in fact break up over the holidays.
“Can confirm Britt and Jordan did break up,” the insider revealed. “Basically, Jordan realised Britt was a clout chaser when Rebel entered the picture.” Yep, that’s the Rebel Wilson, the beloved Australian actor who has been plastered across the Bachelor‘s Instagram page lately!
Britt reportedly became “obsessed” with Rebel after she began dating another tennis star, Matt Reid, which in turn left Jordan unimpressed.
“[Britt] would leave matches [and] training sessions with Jordan to spend time with Rebel,” they revealed. “He quickly realised she loves the clout and got the ick.”
Given the pair’s most recent outings, it seems Jordan certainly changed his tune!
