Sydney-based makeup artist Domenica Calarco is just one of the brides braving Married at First Sight Australia 2022.
Dubbed “loud”, “honest” and “bold” by whatever MAFS producer has control of her Instagram account, Domenica is a self-proclaimed “lover of all things beauty and social media”.
While working primarily as a makeup guru, the 28-year-old has a host of other titles attached to her resume, including social media executive, influencer, model, actor and presenter.
And of course, with titles like those, you best believe her Instagram has a fair few loyal fans attached, too. Prior to her debut as a Married at First Sight 2022 contestant, Dom’s account boasted upwards of 11,600 followers.
Domenica Calarco’s Previous TV Stint
Like many reality stars before her, Domenica is no stranger to being in front of the camera.
In fact, her passion for beauty has seen her appear on Channel 10’s Studio 10 as a beauty contributor across a number of segments.
In one clip from 2017, the makeup artist features alongside former Bachelorette Georgia Love. TBH, this isn’t super surprising considering makeup artists tend to rub shoulders with many reality stars across their career. Now we’re left curious as to who else Domenica knows on the reality TV scene!
In addition to her foray into breakfast television, the Sydneysider previously posted a number of videos discussing life and all things beauty on her YouTube channel.
However, the channel, which has amassed 17.7K followers, has since been nuked of its content, presumably by Married at First Sight producers before the series went to air.
Could this have something to do with a little-known fact that Domenica has been married before?
Domenica Calarco’s “Dream Wedding”
Thanks to noxinfluencer.com, we were able to suss out what sort of content used to live on Domenica’s YouTube channel.
One particular video caught our eye, however, with its title: “Our Wedding Day 8/12/19”. It was also accompanied by the description: “My dream wedding on the 8th December 2019”.
In a short bio released by Nine, it was revealed that Domenica was previously married for two short months to her former partner of four years.
According to the network, Domenica ended the marriage, “which left her devastated and feeling like a failure”.
On episode 142 of the So Dramatic! podcast, a source close to Dom spilled to host Megan Pustetto that her divorce is covered A LOT in the 2022 season.
The source confessed: “She was married for three months. That’s going to be her angle on the show.”

Will Domenica Calarco Bring The Drama To Married At First Sight Australia 2022?
Domenica is certainly one to watch as the drama continues to explode on the small screen.
Appearing on the Beauty Island podcast in 2018, host Brittany Stewart described the TV bride as “one of the most engaging, talented and refreshing beauty creators on the scene”. She also added that the creative isn’t “afraid to call out the BS she sees in the beauty industry”.
Does this mean we can expect Domenica to continue to call it as she sees it on Married at First Sight? We certainly hope so!
