Mark your calendars because The Voice is kicking off the new year with a brand new spin-off beginning January 31.

The Voice Generations is a world-first special event series that will see singers from different generations band together and deliver “showstopping performances, tears and triumphs”.

Over three yuge nights, talented families, friends, neighbours and students and teachers will belt their hearts out as they vie for Voice glory.

While this exciting new twist certainly ups the ante on The Voice, the crux of the popular show remains the same.

Over Generations‘ limited run, the contestants will still compete in blind auditions and battles before going head-to-head to claim the top prize.

Who Will Judge The Voice Generations?

Everyone’s favourite TV judges will be back in the spinning red chairs, too.

Promo clips have featured the return of Rita OraKeith UrbanJessica Mauboy and Guy Sebastian, who all recalled their own family histories in music.

Reminiscing performing with her own loved ones, Jessica said: “There is no greater feeling than singing with my family.”

In a world first for the hit singing competition, Channel 7 is bringing together a host of eras in The Voice Generations 2022.

Similarly, Guy said he “tear[s] up” whenever he hears his sons, Hudson and Archer, sing.

Rita, meanwhile, discussed her musical upbringing: “My father owns pubs and I would go and sing at the pubs; that was the highlight of my weekend.”

The Voice Generations begins Monday, January 31 at 7:30pm on Channel 7.
