Who Is Dr Chris Brown?

Chris Brown, AKA Dr Chris, first stole Australia’s hearts when he appeared as a vet on Harry’s Practice in

However, the 43-year-old never intended on a career in the limelight. Yep, after graduating from the University of Sydney as a veterinarian, Chris stumbled into the media accidentally!

He was scouted for Harry’s Practice after he was overheard telling extraordinary stories about animals over a couple of beers at the pub.

Since then, his animal expertise has granted him opportunities to present on Burke’s Backyard, The Today Show and Talk To The Animals.

In 2009, Chris rose to higher prominence fronting Bondi Vet. The long-running series followed the beloved vet as he tended to furry patients at the Bondi Junction Veterinary Hospital and we were blessed with numerous shots of him running shirtless down the beach!

In sad news that devastated every animal lover (and Chris lover), Bondi Vet was canned in 2016.

What Other TV Shows Has Dr Chris Brown Appeared On?

Aussies just can’t get enough of Dr Chris, who, after Bondi Vet‘s axing, continued to co-host The Living Room alongside Amanda Keller, Barry Du Bois and Miguel Maestre. He has been a part of Network Ten’s hit lifestyle program since 2012, delivering segments on lifestyle and travel.

In 2015, Chris found undeniable chemistry with Julia when they lead the charge into the jungle for the inaugural Aussie I’m A Celeb season.

They also teamed up again in 2019 for the short-lived variety show, Chris and Julia’s Sunday Night Takeaway.

What Is Julia Morris’ Claim To Fame?

Julia first appeared on Australian TV sets at 17 years old on the talent show New Faces.

Come the mid-90s, the now 53-year-old was headlining shows as a stand-up comedian and actor. She namely appeared on Full Frontal, night-time talk show In Melbourne Tonight and comedy panel show Beauty and the Beast.

Over her extensive career as a comedian, Julia has brushed shoulders on stage with Whoopi Goldberg, Richard Pryor and film legend Robin Williams.

In 2000, I’m A Celeb‘s resident funny girl moved to London and featured in several British sitcoms while appearing on panel shows such as Stephen Fry’s QI.

Since entering the limelight, Julia has won a number of awards for her comedy efforts, including Time Out London’s Comedy Performer of the Year in 2001, and 2013’s Helpmann Award for Best Comedy thanks to her national No Judgement tour.

What Reality Shows Has Julia Morris Appeared On?

New Faces might have been Julia’s first reality show, but it certainly wasn’t her last.

In 2011, Julia became Australia’s first-ever Celebrity Apprentice, raising close to $200,000 for breast cancer research. The win for the charity followed her husband Dan Thomas‘ being diagnosed with the life-changing disease.

A year later, she starred in House Husbands as Gemma Crabb before Australia’s Got Talent came calling in 2013. However, she only took the stage as host for one season.

Just two years later, she ventured into the jungle alongside Dr Chris.

Julia currently lives in Melbourne with her husband and their two daughters, Ruby and Sophie.
