Bride and Prejudice star James Ciseau has died after a horrific car accident at Beerwah in Queensland.

The 36-year-old pool builder passed away following a head-on crash around 4PM on Monday, November 29.

The Courier Mail reported that the father-of-two is remembered by his nearest and dearest for his “heart of gold” and “jovial” nature.

On Tuesday morning, James’ younger sisters Lauren and Jacinta honoured their close bond with their “protector”.

Lauren, 33, said her “brother bear” had the rare ability to become friends with anybody he came across.

“James was loved by anyone he met, he’d walk into a room and would make it brighter, like a ray of sunshine,” she said, adding he loved to describe himself as “jovial”.

34-year-old Jacinta shared the same sentiment.

“You’d see him speaking to someone at the shops and you’d assume he knew them, then you’d ask him and they’d be strangers,” she recalled. “He just had the time of day for anyone.”

James is survived by his daughters Olivia-Rose, 5, and Bella-Pearl, 2, who Lauren said looked up to their father “so much”.

“He was the most amazing father… he was the same with his nieces and nephews, so close with the kids and as a husband.”

Tori Ciseau’s Tribute to Her Husband James

James starred in the third season of Bride and Prejudice in 2019 alongside his then-partner Tori.

The Queenslander attempted to win over his bride-to-be’s high society mother Mary-Ann before the pair tied the knot.

Despite reportedly splitting within the last year, Tori took to Instagram on Tuesday night to pay tribute to her late husband, calling his death a “nightmare”.

“One day I will wake up from this nightmare… One day we will all be together again,” she penned. “Until then your two beautiful baby girls will grow up in your legacy. Everything we had planned with the girls I promise I will for fill [sic].”

Sharing a photo of the pair from their reality TV days, Tori wished she could “turn back time”.

“James Lucas Sabien Ciseau, I loved you at the start, I love you now and I will love you until the end.”

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman revealed on Tuesday morning that the cause of the accident was still under investigation.
