It’s been revealed that Abbie Chatfield already knew Bachelorette 2021 winner Darvid Garayeli before they met during the final episode.
Abbie appeared as one of Brooke Blurton‘s friends in The Bachelorette Australia 2021 finale and grilled both finalists, Darvid and Jamie-Lee Dayz.
Yet despite acting as if they’d never laid eyes on each other before, a little birdy has told us that Abbie and Darvid already knew each other through mutual friends back in Brisbane!

As discussed in episode 127 of the So Dramatic! podcast, a source told host Megan Pustetto that they’ve met numuorus times.
“They are obviously both from Brisbane but they have actually met on a number of occasions,” they revealed. “They have a lot of mutual friends and have been to a number of the same parties over the years.”
Just when we thought this Bachie season couldn’t get any more incestuous, this is dredged up!
According to the source: “Abbie is good friends with Darvid’s ex Lily [Trotman]” because they both went to the same university!
“They also studied at… Queensland University of Technology and both completed a Bachelor’s degree in Property Economics in 2018.”
Apparently, they had a number of tutorials and lectures together! The plot thickens!!
Darvid Garayeli Broke Up With His Ex-Girlfriend Right Before Filming The Bachelorette
As reported in episode 124 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Darvid allegedly broke up with his ex Lily only a few months before filming.
According to a few sources, the split wasn’t amicable and “things didn’t end on good terms”! We wonder what went down?!
But wait! There’s more!
Darvid wasn’t the only one to have broken up with a significant other before the show.
As reported in episode 124 of the So Dramatic! podcast, host Megan Pustetto revealed that Jamie-Lee had broken up with her ex-girlfriend only a few weeks before filming.
This is the same ex, that Brooke was seen commenting on their loved up posts!

“JL and her girlfriend (who is a mutual friend of mine from the Lesbian scene here in Sydney) were dating right up until she went onto the Bachelor [Nick Cummins’ season] and got back together not long after that season ended,” a close friend of Jamie-Lee’s revealed.
According to the source, Jamie-Lee then broke up with her just a few weeks before filming the Bachelorette.
“They only moved in together early last year and were living with each other when they broke up. Very interesting. I am curious to see if it’s for the fame or for love.”
From our calculations, it seems as though Jamie-Lee broke up with her GF just as Brooke was announced as The Bachelorette! Juicy!
