According to The Bachelorette Australia 2021 contestant, Beca and Carissa were never an actual couple and were posting for publicity.
“Beca and Carissa = publicity stunt,” they said. “Carissa obviously took notes from her bestie Megan Marx and saw how much publicity she got from her romance with Tiffany Scanlon.”
The reality star even went as far as to say that the pair were “queer-baiting” everyone, which was “disappointing to see”.
“Why do you think they posted multiple photos and captions first alluding to and then confirming their romance, saying ‘I love you’ etc? Why do you think they waited a whole 24 hours to clear up the speculation?
“They know exactly what they were doing. I wouldn’t be surprised if that Tik Tok video you found was made by their friend and they set the whole thing up.”
Beca Pressing Clears Up the Confusion In an Instagram Post
After posting some epic couple goals content, Beca cleared up the rumours on Instagram.
“I’m so sorry to disappoint you all. At this stage, @carissacroft and I are just very close friends,” she captioned a pic of them both. “She’s going off to work on yachts, so my previous post is a gesture of my love and appreciation for her and our friendship after saying our goodbyes.”
For the current contestant, it’s all a bit sh*t.

How Did the Speculation About Beca Pressing and Carissa Croft Start?
In episode 119 of the So Dramatic! podcast, one listener wrote in asking if host Megan Pustetto knew if there was anything going on between Carissa and Beca, who was eliminated from the show just one episode earlier.
“Hey did Carissa dump Brooke for Bec?” they asked, adding: “Bec gets dumped, then posts about how lovely the girls are on the show and posts Carissa. Then Carissa leaves.”
At the time, the pair had both posted snaps with each other on the ‘gram.
“Obsessed with you,” Beca gushed, while Carissa said she was “endlessly grateful” to have met the red-headed beauty.
Fans of the hit dating show have also picked up on the potential romance, with one tweeting: “anyone else getting vibes”. Another commented that Carissa and Beca “look good together”.
So Dramatic! reached out to Bec and Carissa multiple times from when they first started posting asking to confirm or deny their romance and they did not respond.
