Victoria Police are reportedly investigating a number of threatening letters sent to The Block 2021 contestants Tanya and Vito Guccione after they came clean about their involvement in the “cheating scandal.”

The parents-of-two have spoken out about the “vile and revolting letters” they’ve received at their Melbourne home following The Block finale on Sunday.

This season, Tanya and Vito were depicted as the show’s villains thanks to their involvement in “the biggest ever cheating scandal”. As a result, the pair have been subject to heavy social media trolling and scrutiny.

On her personal Instagram stories, Tanya, 39, alerted her followers (and haters) that the threats had been reported to authorities.

“To the person who sent us revolting, vile and explicit letters in the mail… You have been reported to the police!’ she wrote on Tuesday night.

Adding that the move was a “rookie mistake”, Tanya said the authorities “will be investigating”.

Not The First Time Tanya and Vito Have Copped Heat Over The Block Cheating Scandal

In October, Tanya told Women’s Day that she was “absolutely shocked” at “how bad” the trolling she received had been.

“We understand people were angry and many wanted to voice their opinion about us online,” the makeup artist said.

However, the backlash didn’t stop there.

“Online bullies… contacted my agent, my friends and anyone I was associated with online,” Tanya said. She also confessed they’d received death threats as a result of their actions.

“If you bully or troll people online it takes a toll on that person’s mental health as well as their friends and family. It’s dehumanising and absolutely not OK,” she said.

“Imagine the shame knowing you made a mistake and feeling like the whole nation now hates you.”

Why Have Tanya and Vito Faced Such Scrunity On The Block?

Early on in the show, the Melbourne mum was found to have a pic of The Block‘s embargoed production schedule.

For weeks, she maintained it was sent to her by an anonymous tradie before twins Josh and Luke Packham revealed the truth.

“We had the production office being used as a toilet and I went in there,” Josh confessed. He added that he looked at the schedule but under no circumstances did he take a photo.

45 minutes later, Tanya told him she had also seen the schedule. It was then that she asked Josh to stand guard while she took a photo of it. The snap was then forwarded to Luke.

“Obviously we know the truth… so we feel now is the time to say it,” Josh said during Sunday night’s finale.
