Caitlyn Jenner bid farewell to her housemates on Monday night after she evicted herself from the Big Brother VIP Australia hotel.

The contestants were thrown into a tailspin when Big Brother locked them in an elevator and called a “flash eviction”. He then revealed they were not allowed to leave until someone quit the competition.

While the other housemates made their cases as to why they should say, Caitlyn had other plans.

“I love all you guys,” she confessed, “I have a charity Trans Pride Australia… I want to help my charity. But I have to look at the big picture.”

Announcing that she was self-evicting, the 72-year-old explained it came down to her political ventures.

“I have been, for the last three months, in a campaign trying to take over the fifth-largest economy in the world, California,” Caitlyn explained of her bid to be Governor of California. “I have a lot of people in California working for me, trying to pull this off.”

“I’ve had a wonderful, wonderful time, but it’s time to move on.”

However, despite acting surprised at having to check out of Big Brother’s hotel, a source tells to So Dramatic! that Caitlyn’s exit was “pre-planned” and she knew about the flash eviction before it happened.

“Caitlyn had her exit date written into her contract before she entered the Big Brother hotel,” a production insider explains. “Caitlyn was so well-loved in the house she would have never been voted out by her housemates, so Big Brother had to come up with another way to evict her that didn’t rely on voting.

“Caitlyn leaving voluntarily was the only option and that’s why she was controlling the conversation around who would leave in the lift.”

The source also added that this plan is why Caitlyn had been given so much airtime.

“They had to make the most out of her for the short time they had her and make sure they got their money’s worth,” the source dishes. “That’s why we’ve seen her open up about so much, so soon.”

While her housemates were shocked at her decision to leave just one week into the game, we already knew her early eviction was coming long before they did!

Caitlyn Jenner’s Shock Eviction Was Written Into Her Contract

As discussed on episode 95 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Caitlyn gave away a massive spoiler (naughty, naughty) when she revealed on Twitter that she was already back in California just days after the show began filming on July 30.

“Great time abroad for fun and glad to be back in #California on the campaign trail!” she wrote. The tweet was accompanied by the Big Brother VIP cast lineup.

The former Olympian was also papped at LAX Airport a few days after entering the BB house, all but confirming she would only appear in the series briefly. TBH, it isn’t a bad deal if you ask us, considering she was paid a whopping half a million dollars for her time on the show!

But wait! There’s more! A source told So Dramatic! that Caitlyn had it written into her contract that she would be one of the first to go.

“She had a deal with production to make sure she would bail in time to catch a plane to join her Governor tour on August 12,” the source spilled. That family knows how to negotiate a deal, that’s for sure!

It also appears that Caitlyn’s departure from Big Brother VIP was planned well ahead of filming.

On July 20, she sent out a press release that detailed a statewide bus tour in California beginning on August 12, confirming she would be attending in person!

Caitlyn Jenner Gets Candid About Her Life As Bruce Jenner

Earlier in the episode, Caitlyn was confronted with an image of herself winning gold at the 1976 Montreal Olympics.

In the Big Brother VIP art gallery, she emotionally confessed why the decathlon triumph was bittersweet.

“This photo means a lot to me,” she explained, noting she spent 12 years preparing for that moment. “I got there and right at that moment, I won the title of the greatest athlete in the world.”

Despite this, Caitlyn said she felt like she was playing a character when she was known as Bruce Jenner.

“I saw this photo was on the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine, and… I thought to myself, ‘Oh my god, did I build that character up so big, that I am stuck with him the rest of my life?'”

Caitlyn, who came out as transgender in 2015, also told her housemates that being female is “peace in [her] soul”.

“I didn’t have that as a male. I can say that I have never been in a better place in my life, with peace in my soul and an opportunity to make a difference in the world.”

Caitlyn Jenner On Her Relationship With Ex-Wife Kris Jenner

Prior to her shock eviction, the former patriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner clan revealed there’s tension between herself and her ex Kris Jenner.

“I would say from my standpoint, our relationship is not as good as it should be,” she said.

When asked if the 66-year-old socialite had any “misgivings” about her, Caitlyn confessed that was an “understatement”.

“Our relationship is okay, but I think it could be better, just because of the kids,” Caitlyn revealed, adding: “It’s always about how the mother and father get along together.”

After nearly 25 years of marriage, Caitlyn and Kris split in 2015. The pair share daughters Kendall, 25, and Kylie, 24.
